Taste Of Summer Peach Smoothie Recipe

Peach smoothie recipe

Nothing says summer like a juicy, ripe peach. I possibly go peach mad. If you're looking for a refreshing and healthy way to enjoy your locally grown peaches, if you’re lucky enough to live in Georgia or South Carolina, try this super sweet smoothie.

This simple recipe combines the natural sweetness of peaches with the creaminess of yogurt and the goodness of a few wholesome ingredients. It’s an ideal breakfast, snack, or post-workout treat that’s both satisfying and nutritious.

I will sometimes make a big batch, freeze it into ice cube trays and then blend them up for a frosted version!

  • 2 cups fresh or frozen peaches, chopped
  • 1/2 cup coconut yogurt
  • 1/2 cup almond milk (or any milk of your choice)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Ingredients:
If you’re using fresh peaches, peel and chop them into chunks. For a colder smoothie, you can also use frozen peaches, which will eliminate the need for ice.

2. Blend the Smoothie:
In a blender, combine the peaches, yogurt, almond milk, maple/agave (if using), vanilla extract, and ice cubes (if using fresh peaches). For a nutritional boost, you can also add chia seeds or flaxseeds.

3. Blend Until Smooth:
Blend on high speed until all the ingredients are well combined and the mixture is smooth and creamy. You may need to stop and scrape down the sides of the blender to ensure everything is fully blended.

4. Taste and Adjust:
Taste your smoothie and adjust the sweetness if needed by adding more agave or maple syrup. Blend again briefly to mix any additional sweetener.

5. Serve Immediately:
Pour the smoothie into a glass and enjoy immediately for the best flavor and texture. You can also garnish with a slice of peach or a sprinkle of chia seeds for a decorative touch.

Don’t forget to try my tip of freezing it and then blending the frozen peach smoothie ice cubes for a slushy consistency!

Tips for a Perfect Peach Smoothie

  • Ripeness Matters: For the best flavor, use ripe peaches. If they’re not in season, frozen peaches are a great alternative.
  • Creaminess: Adjust the amount of yogurt and milk based on your preferred smoothie consistency. Use less milk for a thicker smoothie or more for a thinner texture.
  • Add-Ins: Feel free to add other fruits like berries or bananas for a flavor twist. You can also throw in a handful of spinach for a green smoothie that still tastes delicious!

Whether you’re starting your day or looking for a refreshing afternoon pick-me-up, this smoothie is sure to hit the spot. Blend up a batch for a deliciously peachy summer’s day!
